It seems like you have a pretty good start for a game here, but it could probably use a bit more work/polish. The armor and ammo HUD take up a pretty significant size of the screen and could be reduced by quite a bit. Being able to hold down the mouse button in order to shoot automatically would be a much appreciated addition - having to keep clicking in order to rapid fire can get kind of annoying. It might also be a good idea to have the bullets be circular as well, considering that the current bullets don't seem to rotate depending on where you fire from. Having some sort of explosion effect for when enemies are destroyed would also probably make the combat seem a bit more interesting.
Overall, I think just putting more time into this would definitely help it out a lot.

I think you have a pretty good game here, I can definitely see the retro influences. The auto fire feature definitely makes the game a lot easier and funner to play, having to spam the fire button is one thing I don't miss from old school shooters. I think you pretty much nailed the aesthetic; I really loved the CRT mode in particular!
The sound effects are pretty good, especially the explosion sound, but I personally feel like it could have used some background music.
Overall, nice work!

An interesting bug that I found is that its actually possible to die immediately after destroying the last red turret thing in a level - this causes you to get a game over right after starting the next level. Maybe make it so that as soon as the turret is destroyed the game pauses, rather than having a second or so delay? Either that or give the player an extra life so that they don't instantly lose when the next level starts.

Amazing graphics, clever dialogue, and perfect ending make this my favorite game of the year so far. Thank you sir, and keep up the great work.

I'm a little disappointed at the lack of the best chimera (that is, the Horsantula) but great work regardless. I do like how you managed to make these distinct from their original sprites; the Pigtunia in particular is excellent here!

Incredible, as always. I particularly like the subtle orange lighting on the ship, in addition to the insane detail and color on the waves.

Thank you!

I really love the gentle orange/brown shading on the buildings and clouds, it makes for a very peaceful looking scene. The snow itself is very smoothly animated as well; fantastic work!
